BATHINDA & LUDHIANA, PUNJAB
Majority of streets in the city of Bathinda and Ludhiana have setback spaces which could be properly designed to create a unique transition to the built fabric. Currently most of the streets are characterized by commercial mixed use development that encroaches on setbacks. However the setbacks provide an opportunity to incorporate much needed pedestrian infrastructure and landscaping.

Sidewalks, landscape strips, street furniture and other relevant pedestrian infrastructure are added wherever appropriate to create a comfortable and safe streetscape spaces. Streets are designed keeping in mind the sense of scale and enclosure for psychological and physiological comforts of users.
